BFF Search Via TV

I Wanna Be Paris' New Best Friend!

Paris Hilton will be staring in a new TV series that puts an interesting spin on the regular reality shows. Instead of a dating show, MTV will have her looking for a new best friend.

On I Wanna be Paris' New Best Friend! Hilton will be choosing between 20 women and men, who want a chance to audition to be her new "best friend forever." Part of the show's plans is to teach these contestants a series of "girl stuff" lessons back at her mansion.

The ParisBFF site is very pink and hard to handle, but worth taking a look at for a good laugh. The site lets you look through a list of hopefuls as well as play a role in voting for who should be her new "bestie." Contestants upload photos, videos and blog about why they should be Hilton's next accessory.

This seems a little elementary school. "Excuse me, will you be my new best friend?" But I guess when times get desperate, it's worth a shot. The line for the heiress' new sidekick will no doubt be huge. Will she shoot for straight up replacement and seek another rowdy BFF like Nicole Richie? Or will she look for someone who will step aside and let Ms. Hilton soak up all the lime light?
