Waffle Architecture

House 1 & House 2 by TAKA Looks Like Breakfasty Goodness

Created by Dublin architects TAKA is this mews house featuring protruding brickwork. The brickwork pattern was actually placed on a Victorian home located in Dublin. The pattern was created by alternate bricks laid across the usual direction while the other forms an open mesh that doubles as ventilation.

While the brickwork pattern is certainly intricate and well done, from afar, it does resemble a waffle pattern. Mmmm, waffles!
