The Guggenheim Museum's Artwork Can Now Be Viewed Through Google Street View

If you've always wanted to check out the famed artworks at the iconic Guggenheim Museum but haven't been able to make your way to New York, you can now enjoy the exhibits from afar via a virtual museum visit courtesy Google Street View technology.

In order to make the virtual museum visits possible, Google engineers gathered and stitched together drone, tripod and Street View images of the Guggenheim Museum and stitched them together to create a 360-degree representation of the galleries and exhibits that visitors can enjoy.

Users can explore the exhibits and click on specific artworks to learn more details about them.

This virtual museum technology will make it easier to promote cultural exchanges around the world, with anyone with an Internet connection able to contribute to the conversation about art and its place in our world.
