Valeska Jasso Collado Eccentrically Combines Metal, Foam and Latex

Valeska Jasso Collado is a fashion designer who treads the world of avant-garde art as well. Essentially creating bizarre wearable sculptures out of metal, foam and latex, she creates "bold shapes reminiscent of furniture from the 1980s Milan-based design movement lead by designer Ettore Sottsass," notes Dezeen.

Created for her University of Westminster graduate collection, Valeska Jasso Collado's fashion designs are full of quirky geometric silhouettes that will bring to mind Memphis style furniture and interior. Concentrating as much on layers as she does on shape, Valeska Jasso Collado's atypical choice of materials allows her a creative freedom that many fashion designers lack for fear of alienating potential clientele. They are as colorful as they are quirky.
