Utopia by Peder Cho is based in Los Angeles and the design garnered a strong following after posing sewing videos online. Now, Cho created upcycled fantastical looks for clients, unveiling a whole runway show during New York Fashion Week recently.
The debut collection highlights puffer vests and woven puff bags with 38 pieces making up the entire collection. Each one pushes his creative boundaries and the color palette is earthy and neutral. Cho explains that "I like to put pockets and functionality throughout all the pieces. Sometimes I’m sewing for five days straight and I might be wearing the same clothes, so I want to make sure it’s functional, comfortable and also with a lot of steaze."
