Artist Eliska Podzimkova Brings Some Fantasy to New York City

The urban illustration series by Eliska Podzimkova brings a little magic to New York City. A person doesn't have to wait at 34th Street for a miracle. They can simply peruse these works of art, which sees building being picked up by giants, yellow taxis taking lanes in the sky and elephants traveling across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Fun and imaginative, the urban illustrations are combined with photography for a truly surreal depiction of the Big Apple. Although born in Prague, Podzimkova's dream to live in New York was fulfilled in 2012. Since then, she has been bringing her fantastical interpretations to her new home. Design Taxi writes, "Her illustrations are often playful and eye-catching, adding a pop of wit into the streets and scenes of New York City."
