Upcycled Sweater Pumpkins

This Craft Transforms Outgrown Sweaters into Festive Pumpkins

Instagram user 'ledreamscometrue' makes use of thrift store finds for this upcycled sweater project.

The effect is created by chopping up sleeves of a sweater, stitching the bottom back together, stuffing it and topping it with a root-like top. These fabric pumpkins look like they use the sleeve from a small brown sweater or sock with scalloping around the edges to create the look of the pumpkin's handle.

Although any color, size and fabric could be used for this DIY craft, the texture from the sleeves of a ribbed orange sweater creates the perfect pumpkin look-alike. As well as being an awesome Halloween decoration, this is a fantastic way to repurpose sweaters that have just become too small, worn or have a small hole in them.
