Acne-Normalizing Photography

Peter DeVito Created a Series of Inspiring Unretouched Photos

Even though social media can be a powerful tool for social change and offers positive experiences for many, others find platforms like Instagram can feed into the 'comparison trap' and lead to greater feelings of loneliness and insecurity -- which is why this series of unretouched photos is inspiring and empowering to many.

20 year old photographer and student Peter DeVito recently posted several non-photoshopped images to his Instagram account in an effort to show how normal acne is. DeVito has struggled with his skin for years and wanted to let others know acne is normal and doesn't need to be edited out of pictures.

The unretouched photos follows a growing number of self-love campaigns and accounts cropping up online.
