Distressed Patchwork Apparel

Greg Lauren's Unique Menswear Line Combines a Variety of Materials

Greg Lauren, the successful son of acclaimed designer Ralph Lauren, created a series of unique menswear that luxuriously intermingles high-end looks with utilitarian patchwork designs.

The way in which he does this varies from piece to piece, as the designer experiments with new combinations of fabric throughout. For a casual sweater, he infuses a soft green garment with with frayed light denim that appears on the bottom half of the torso and on one arm.

This allows the unique menswear design to carry throughout the entire piece, making for a stark contrast that's surprisingly appealing to look at. Although this is perhaps the most standout piece from the collection, others make use of the patchwork designs in much the same way -- transforming basic staples into something that looks well-worn and wholly different.
