Utilitarian Fabric Fashion

Union LA Unveiled Its Second Private-Label Launch of SS18

Fashion label Union LA delivers a new range of goods inspired by Chris Gibbs' favorite clothing pieces following its in-house clothing line introduction. Similar to the first launch, the garments boast boxy shapes, relaxed cuts and are constructed with utilitarian fabrics that are sourced straight from Japan and assembled in Los Angeles.

The broadly versatile collection takes on personalized detail accents, including patchwork that recalls Stokely Carmichaels from the Black Power movement, as well as Union itself. The new collection is comprised of pieces including bowling shirts, chinos and mechanics jackets that nod to the label's workaday heritage. Overall, the collection takes on a playful exploration with its washed-out color palette and print-heavy pieces. All of the offerings will be launching at Union LA stores as well as Tokyo locations, and online.
