MAD Reveals the Sleek Europe-Based 'UNIC' Building

MAD has unveiled a new Europe-based project titled ‘UNIC.’ The building is designed to capture the attention of passerby's, standing out from the surrounding Haussman buildings and providing citizens with a breath of fresh air when it comes to the visuals of Paris’ 17th arrondissement. ‘UNIC’ is located in Clichy-Batignolles, a "sustainable urban development" in Paris’ core. The building will house 7,500 residents and further the city’s efforts toward a sustainable future.

The ‘UNIC’ features a green space, a nearby metro station, and reduced energy consumption when it comes to heating and cooling its units. MAD’s architects commented that "[t]he striking design of UNIC also acts as a foil against the nearby Hausmann apartment blocks as it sits along the edge of Martin Luther King Park."
