150 Car Designers Take a Year on F-Cell Roadster

Despite what President Obama said, auto manufacturing was not invented in the U.S. The Benz Company was building cars long before cars hit America. Daimler may be tweaking the nose of the U.S. manufacturer’s by releasing a design based on the original Benz motor vehicle. This "F-Cell Roadster" has a fuel cell and was designed by trainees to give them a creative way to learn about alternative fuel designs.

It took a year and more than 150 trainees to create the F-Cell Roadster, but the entire project involved using "junior employees," giving the company’s up-and-coming employees a creative way to learn how alternative-fuel systems come together.
