Designated Driver Services

Uber is Offering Designated Driver Services In New Jersey

Evesham County, a small southern New Jersey town of 45,000, is offering a new designated driver service in collaboration with Uber.

The program will see Uber provide free rides to people who are too drunk to drive themselves home safely. Funded via donations from a variety of local businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals, this designated driver service is being made available to customers in at least 19 bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.

It is hoped that the Uber-Evesham County partnership will, in the form of this designated driver service, reduce the number of arrests made for DUI violations. Ultimately, this will help make the town safe and prevent needless accidents caused by drunken driving.
