On-Demand Celebratory Dances

Uber China Hosted a Special Chinese New Year Service in 23 Cities

A special Chinese New Year campaign from Uber China allowed consumers to order on-demand Lion Dances through the innovative ride-sharing app.

In addition to the Lion Dance campaign, which was available in 23 Chinese cities, Uber China also launched an on-demand calligraphy program in the city of Guangzhou, which was sponsored by the Guangzhou Culture Broadcasting Television News and Publishing Bureau. The on-demand calligraphy service saw a calligrapher arrive to write out the traditional "hui chun," a four-character rhyming couplet on a red banner that is hung on the doorway of one's home ahead of Chinese New Year.

The innovative celebratory service offered by Uber China proves that the sharing economy platform is a leader in connecting with its users through cultural holidays.
