These Keira Rathbone Typewriter Artworks are Sure to Inspire

When British artist Keira Rathbone first bought a vintage typewriter from the local flea market, she thought she would eventually think of something to write with it. That time never came, so instead of getting rid of it, Rathbone started using the typewriter as a drawing tool.

Rathbone now uses vintage typewriters to make pixelated, complex drawings of everything from scenery to celebrities to images from her own imagination. Somehow, she has even developed the art of creating shading with the office tool. She discusses her art in this included interview via YouTube and it is very interesting to watch her work on the typewriter. You can see the image appear before your eyes if you're paying attention.

Personally, I enjoy the piece of President Obama. I know I could never get such realism in a face using only punctuation marks!
