Whiskey Cask-Aged Rums

The Third Expression of Tributo Rum Features The Use of Smokey Whisky Casks

Havana Club's newest Tributo rum is made for sipping and comes from the distillery's aged reserves. This is the third expression of Tributo from Havana Club, but this time around the rich liquor is finished in smoky whiskey casks. This process of aging was done as a way to innovate the Tributo, but also to honor the crucial role of cask ageing in rum, and to show off the complex flavors that can emerge when aging sugarcane liquors in oak casks.

This new Tributo rum was masterfully crafted by Havana Club's master blender Asbel Morales and was made with rum drawn from 60-year-old casks. The result is an exceptional product that carries with it a smoky note and a cascade of complex flavors. The final product comes out at 40% ABV and is meant more for sipping rather than cocktails. The new Tributo rum is currently available for purchase and comes housed in a white wood gift box, with each bottle being signed and numbered by Morales.
