The Travel Trends Infographic for 2013 Show We Never Truly Shut O

According to a Travel Trends of 2013 infographic, compiled by Best Hospitality Degrees, most people would prefer to take a vacation to the beach, but many also never completely switch off.

The infographic reveals that while summer (38 per cent) remains the prime time to go on vacation for many Americans, followed by fall (27), spring (18) and winter (17), the number of full-time employees who took or planned to take a vacation is down to 65 per cent from 80 per cent in 2007.

More worringly, though, four out of 10 managers said they expected their employees to check their email while on vacation. This translates to about 34 per cent of people checking their emails "sometimes," regularly (28) and constantly (6), while the percentage of those who "never" check their email is, according to the Travel Trends of 2013 infographic, 32 per cent.
