Garbage Can Branding

Trash Design's Image is Ironically Clean and Remarkably Resourceful

Choosing a garbage bin for a logo could quite easily be a very bad marketing decision, but Trash Design branding manages to inspire admiration. The project was Juan Jose Marnetti's visual identity concept for a graphic design firm, for which he fully developed the emblem, the typefaces, the color palette and more.

The icon is undeniably endearing, picturing a cartoon of the common metal garbage can. But at its base there occurs a change, as the bottom tapers into the lead tip of a pencil. A simple symbol such as this communicates a strong idea that scraps can be turned into something spectacular with the help of creativity. The curious clarity of Trash Design branding is consistent in the company's business cards, pamphlet and website.
