Toys For Pigs

D2B Award Winning Design

That's right, swine need entertainment too. Apparently when pigs get bored they become nasty towards each other, and in Europe piggy fun is the law! Pig producers in the Netherlands are required to provide amusement for the oinkers and with this in mind Sharon Geschiere from Arnhem, has designed the “Wroezelaar”, plaything for pigs.  The 'toy' is made of hollow rubber cylinders which are filled with food, straw, rattling bits and other interesting things to keep piggy stimulated.

Geschiere recently won the first Design to Business (D2B) award which according to Design.nl, “is specifically aimed at designers from Arnhem or the province of Gelderland who work with their clients to develop trend-setting new designs on the basis of a shared vision.”
