Geek-Friendly Comic Conventions

Toronto Comicon 2014 Was a Weekend to Remember

Toronto Comicon 2014 was a hit last weekend for fans of comic books, anime, illustration, graphic design, superheroes, cosplay and more. Fans came dressed up in their costumes and walked through the aisles buying art, action figurines, jewelry and other great geeky gifts. Year after year, events like Fan Expo, Comic Con and Anime North attract hundreds of people of all ages to the wonderful world of fiction!

The celebrities on the guest list this year include Giancarlo Esposito who played Gus Fring on Breaking Bad, Allison Mack who played Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, and two stars from Lord of the Rings: Sean Astin and Billy Boyd.

Some cosplayers really stood out and owned the event with their well-designed costumes and remarkably convincing interpretation of their characters. The Joker terrified small children and shocked adults with his booming voice and wild facial expressions. The Toronto X-Men, the Riddler, Ace Ventura and Skrillex also made appearances.

Toronto Comicon 2014 was unquestionably exciting for fans and Trend Hunter was thrilled to be a part of this geek-tastic event!
