Modular Pyramid Planters

The Microgarden by Tomorrow Machine Allows for Indoor Gardening

Tomorrow Machine's Microgarden is a miniature greenhouse that is made out of a reusable and renewable sheet of plastic. This modular plastic piece features six flapped elements that folds into a hexagonal pyramid. When folded together, this plastic shell is transformed into a self-contained mini greenhouse.

This innovative and eco-conscious design makes indoor gardening easy thanks to a sophisticated growing kit that was developed in collaboration with Berlin-based indoor farming start-up INFARM.

The Microgarden by Swedish-based design studio Tomorrow Machine uses transparent seaweed based agar-agar gel as a growing medium for its contained plant elements. Because the microgreens' roots absorb moisture from this gel, no watering is required for the mini garden's upkeep. Moreover, the garden's transparent shell allows users to keep track of blooming sprouts as they grow.
