Looking like a set piece out of Alice in Wonderland or Pee Wee's Playhouse, the Tokyo Baby Cafe offers an environment where both adults and children can enjoy themselves, which I must say, is pretty hard to find. Featuring giant couches and chairs for the kids to play on and a fully equipped restaurant for the parents, this place offers the perfect place to spend the afternoon without driving either party nuts.
Trying to accommodate an entire family is no easy task. Usually you have either an adult restaurant with absolutely no room for kids, or a children's restaurant where it's so noisy that no conversation can possibly be completed. Though only in Japan right now, let's hope they bring the Tokyo Baby Cafe idea over here so sanity can once again be a part of family outings.
