The Tiptop Speaker Re-Imagines Portable Audio

As much as designers and companies try to dress it up, a sound system continues to be another obtrusive device that is often arranged and rearranged on the surfaces to make more space for other things. The Tiptop Speaker changes the game completely. It does so by rethinking the traditional rectangular shape.

Designed by Alex Walker, Jack Brody and Madeleine Thompson, fourth-year product design students at the Stanford D.School, the Tiptop Speaker takes on a triangular form that allows it to fit perfectly into corners. By utilizing this empty, unused interior space, the Tiptop Speaker is practical on various levels. More importantly, however, it is sleek and sophisticated. Even when placed on a table, the bluetooth speaker is pleasant to look at.
