Time and Space on the Lower East Side is a photographic representation of the way that the city scape in New York has changed between 1980 and the present.
Brian Rose is the photographer behind the project and compiled comparative photos of the Lower East Side neighborhood to show how it looked in the 80s and what has changed over the past three decades.
Using captures he took when he was graduating from The Copper Union thirty years ago as the basis for the project, he then revisited the same locations and shot the scene for a second time.
Each photo from the past is arranged alongside a recent photo of the same location as it exists today to starkly contrast how quickly and how drastically things can change over a short period of time.
