Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa Lets Guests Track Their Tree's Growth

Chile's Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa is doing its part to help reforest the Torres del Paine National Park by offering guest trackable tree seeds. The 40-room hotel has partnered with the Reforestemos Patagonia project to offer guests a chance to help the fire-ravaged rainforest recover.

The Reforestemos Patagonia project typically works via donation; for every $4 donated, a tree is planted in the donor's name. The Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa puts a unique twist on this, offering all of its guests a tree planted in their name. However, the hotel goes one step further, letting guests choose where they would like their tree to be planted. Once the tree is planted, guests are emailed trackable coordinates for their tree, allowing them to check on its growth throughout the years.
