The Tide Smart Bag Aims to Reduce Plastic Waste

Plastic waste is a huge environmental problem -- in the UAE alone, 20 billion plastic bags are consumed per year. To combat this issue, P&G has released the Tide Smart Bag, an eco-friendly, reusable and machine-washable bag, in the UAE.

The Tide Smart Bag was designed to look like a lined piece of notebook paper; it even comes with a marker so you can write out your grocery list on it. What's more, you can easily erase what you've written to reuse the bag over and over again. Along with the marker, the bag comes with a box of Tide detergent.

Created by Leo Burnett Dubai, the Tide Smart Bag campaign has been rolled out in the UAE to help eliminate the use of plastic shopping bags. The goal is to completely eradicate their use by 2013.
