The Tyre Collective Creates Products from Particles

British startup company The Tyre Collective started to create products using the microplastic particles that come off of car tyres naturally as they drive on roads. The company has created a lamp, a battery, and jewellery from the material and according to it, over a million tonnes of synthetic rubber is produced yearly by tyres on European roads.

It states, "The air we breathe in London contains more tyre wear than exhaust pollution. his problem is worsened with electric vehicles from the added battery weight and torque." To create the pellet mix, it uses 20% tyre particles and 80% recycled PLA, creating a vase, speaker, acoustic panel, and lamp -- all of these are made with a luxe slightly dark grey finish that can be further recycled.
