The Runbell Looks Like a Bicycle Bell But is Designed for Runners

The Runbell is a bell designed to get runners in on the bell-ringing action. Why should only cyclists be able to use bells to get pesky pedestrians out of the way and warn motorists not to carelessly swing open their doors? That was the thinking behind the development of the Runbell.

The Runbell is made from solid brass, and its grip crafted from brass-electroplated aluminum. The entire contraptions wears only 30 grams, and is worn on the index and middle fingers. It works via a spring-mounted striking mechanism that is operated by the thumb; silicone sizing inserts are included to enable runners wearing gloves to use the device.

The Runbell is the brainchild of Tokyo-based enterpreneur Kevin John Nadolny, who has turned to Kickstarter to riase funds for the production and distribution of the Runbell. A pledge of $25 will guarantee you a Runbell if the product meets its fundraising goal.
