The Recycling Partnership Releases a New Resource in America

The Recycling Partnership is an ambitious not-for-profit organization that seeks to help companies, communities, and governments become educated about different processes of recycling. This time around, the organization wants to transform drop-off recycling and reduce contamination. In order to do so, it has launched the Drop-Off Recycling Contamination Reduction Kit.

The idea for this resource came about after The Recycling Partnership worked in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) on various recycling projects. The comprehensive kit shares the organization's detailed anti-contamination processes. It includes detailed guidance to help lead productive discussions about recycling drop-off sites with local material recovery facilities and haulers, instructions and tools for messaging, tips for best results, strategies to reduce contamination (including illegal dumping), as well as tracking and reporting.
