Designed by Poland-based group Nizio Design International, the Mausoleum of the Martyrdom of Polish Villages was commissioned by the Kielce Region Countryside Museum to commemorate the rural Polish communities that were exploited during the Nazi occupation. The building features a distinct segmented structure featuring cracks and divisions. Visitors to the structure can attend a huge range of different multimedia exhibitions that use all kinds of projectors, screens and touch panels to tell the story of the Polish resistance movement, the killing of innocent civilians and the internment of other Poles.
