Architect Shahriar Nasser was commissioned by the school to transform an existing space, rendered archaic and unsafe by students, into a welcoming locker room facility. The results of his forward-thinking design made for a maze-like look that puts exposed steel columns center stage in a crimson red shape that contrasts the otherwise white interior. This sleek decor adheres to the LSE's branding that brings a contemporary edge of bold color energy.
In order to refurbish the facility, the locker height was reduced with improved lighting and ventilation. The remodeling of the Locker Room by Belsize Architects makes for visually striking mecca of modernism in the historic London School of Economics.
