Rental Store-Inspired Beers

'The Last Blockbuster' is a Beer Celebrating the Movie Rental Chain

Dubbed 'The Last Blockbuster' this unique beer from Bend, Oregan's 10 Barrel Brewing celebrates the last movie rental store housed in the same town as the brewery. Billed as an "S1nist0r black ale with nuances of red licorice;" this German-inspired beer is brewed with roasted malts, which contribute to the black color of the brew. The roasted malts also give 'The Last Blockbuster' a dark-cocoa flavor that apparently "pairs perfectly with buttery theater popcorn and your favorite movie."

The official launch of this beer will take place on September 21, 2018, and will be done at a block party hosted by 10 Barrel Brewing and the last remaining Blockbuster. The block party/launch will be available to all members of the public and after the party, the limited edition beer will be available at 10 Barrel Brewing pub locations for a short time.
