The Inception Chair Plays with Posture and the Line of Sight

Inspired by Christopher Nolan's famous science-fiction heist film, Inception, designer Jong-Dae Ryu created the manipulating Inception Chair that bends like the dream realm.

The wooden chair looks deceptively normal when seen straight on, an intentional illusion created by Ryu. Upon further examination from different angles, one will notice that the extended backrest's various planks are actually bent inwards in a random pattern at the top like the wood is convulsing or being pulled in via some invisible force. The design of the Inception Chair was intended to provide convenience for the user so they can hang their coats and hats on it without them sliding off.

The epic chair only contains one armrest, a detail that allows users to prop up and lean against it, adjusting their line of sight and creating a classy angled posture in the process.
