Negativity Ranking Apps

The Hater App Creates a More Democratic Internet

If you ever wanted to express your utter disdain at something via social media networking, then the hater app could be your new (grumpy) best friend! The Hater App allows you to comment on internet goings-on by giving them a thumbs down. The smart application was launched for the iPhone just in time for the tech-trend festival at SXSW.

Creator Jake Banks (a former New York based advertising director) says he created the application as he felt the ‘language of likes’ and the fact that internet users can only react in positive ways is restrictive and not a true indication of a persons beliefs. So the next time your tone deaf friend sends you a video of them harmonizing with their cat after a night out, you can hit the thumbs down button. They’ll thank you for it in the end. Believe me.
