The Dirty Apron Delicatessen Branding Looks Fresh From the Victorian Era

The aptly titled artisan food company The Dirty Apron Delicatessen focuses on serving up comfort food in a big way. Offering everything from in-house hot lunches to jars of homemade pickled vegetables, this BC-based company is straight out of the Victorian era. The brand wanted the perfect packaging to reflect the company's throwback sensibilities.

The design firm Glasfurd & Walker created a packaging for The Dirty Apron's entire line of edibles. Using plastic sparingly, the design team focused on utilizing materials that reach farther back than the twentieth century. Brown paper bags, glass jars, wax seals and butcher's paper come together to create engaging and tactile packaging. Looking fresh from the pages of a Dickens novel, this quaint packaging design is loaded with old-world charm.

Rustic, historic and cleverly crafted, The Dirty Apron Delicatessen is a blast from the past.
