Voyeuristic Safety Campaigns

The Texting While Driving Billboards Show Reckless Drivers

While it's still unclear as to whether or not any privacy laws are being breached, the Texting While Driving campaign (TWIT) aims to highlight reckless drivers.

Texting While Driving was conceived by Brian Singer, who snaps photos of people that text and are generally unsafe while behind the wheel. The graphic designer then takes these photos and puts them up on billboards around the city, and also has a site dedicated to putting up the photos he takes of these individuals. The goal with the entire campaign is to highlight just how unsafe it is to take your eyes off the road and look down for even a second. Hopefully the guilty drivers will recognize themselves on the posters during their next morning commute, and practice more safety in the future.
