The Shitomito Palette Temporary Office in Tokyo, Japan is a stunning example of how reclaimed materials can create stylish and cost-efficient interior solutions. Designed by Hiroki Tominaga Atelier, the Tokyo temporary office space is entirely made up of wooden shipping palettes, many of which have been broken down to create floorboards, walls and ceiling tiles.
Conceived as an inexpensive solution for an interior with an uncertain lease, the meeting room is housed on the ground floor and is only 50-meters-squared. The crates were sourced from the surrounding neighborhood and were a byproduct of water deliveries to local publishing houses.
