Tech-Infused Fine Dining

Samsung and Ya Ge Teamed Up for a Technological Dining Experience

In a showcase of Samsung's new Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9+, the electronics company partnered with Michelin-starred restaurant Ya Ge to launch a technological dining experience. Open between June 25 and July 15, 2018, diners at the Mandarin Oriental hotel eatery will have access to Samsung's VR, AR and AI technologies as a tool to make their meals fully immersive and a unique multisensory experience.

Some of the menu items included in the technological dining experience are blazed mushrooms and abalone soup, Cantonese Penghu lobster, Angus beef fillet served with wine and the restaurant’s signature fried rice. Each course is paired with a piece of Samsung tech, handled by the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9+, which will enhance the meal with some technological magic. This technological dining experience is currently restricted to Ya Ge in Taipei, but there is some hope that Samsung may bring this unique experience to other fine dining locations around the world.
