Clipper Tea Suggests Pairings Like English Breakfast Tea & Roast Beef

Popular tea pairings include cookies and chocolate but Clipper Tea wants to get tea lovers thinking outside of the box with suggestions from its very own Tea Sommelier Angela Pryce. A survey of 2,000 tea drinkers commissioned by Clipper looked into tea habits across the UK and it found that as many as one in five would have a brew with quintessentially British meals like sausage and mash or a jacket potato.

Pryce suggests matching green tea with lemon infusions to bring out the flavors of smoked salmon, and other ideas include pairing black tea with fish and chips and English breakfast tea with roast beef. Green tea also works well with spicy foods, while Earn gray helps to round out meals with lemon drizzle cake.
