DIY Taco Cookies

Erica's Sweet Tooth Turns Tacos into Dessert

While tacos in their original form are quite tasty, adjusting them to make taco cookies is also up their on the deliciousness level. Instead of using ingredients such as lettuce and salsa, Erica's Sweet Tooth changes things up by using items suitable for those with a craving for candy.

Every savoury item is replaced by a sweet in the recipe. For taco shells, halved Oreo cookies are used (the Vanilla kind, but this can be changed if needed). The lettuce is now pieces of shaved coconut, the meat substitute becomes Oreo truffles, and hot tamales and Starbursts replace the cheese and tomatoes. All of these items are placed in between two halved Oreo cookies, and served on a plate for guests to enjoy.
