Curved Accordion Illuminators

The Symphony Lamp by Anna Strupinskaya and Alexey Ivashkevich

Abstract, curvilinear forms are folded together to create the Symphony Lamp by designers Anna Strupinskaya and Alexey Ivashkevich. The modern chandelier concept explores the connection between light and sound with a ribboned design that features three tiers of a ribbed and layered polymer material.

Each of the illuminator's three tiers are displayed in a different color, forming a combination of white, blue, pink and purple hues that are back-lit with LED lights. Anna Strupinskaya and Alexey Ivashkevich's Symphony Lamp is constructed out of a series of translucent silicone tubes that resemble the inner workings of most musical instruments.

This curved pendent light's material showcases varying translucencies and muted color effects that are displayed atop its organically formed and flexible silicone shell.
