Sustainable Cocoa Cookies

OREO Will Now Only Use Sustainable Cocoa in Its Biscuits Going Forward

As of the end of the month and onwards, OREO will now only be using sustainable cocoa in its biscuits. The sustainably sourced ingredient is set to come out of the brand's Cocoa Life initiative, which aims to support and empower cocoa farmers across the supply chain. As president Glenn Caton of Northern Europe at Mondelēz International sees it: "through Cocoa Life, we want to become an accountable partner for our cocoa farmers, not just a buyer. Cocoa Life truly transforms communities by delivering real and measurable improvements for cocoa farmers."

By the end of the year, all OREO products are set to have packaging designs that include the Cocoa Life logo, making it easy for consumers to see how their purchasing decisions have the potential to positively impact lives beyond their own.
