'Surf Snowdonia' Creates Ideal Conditions for Surfing Experiences

'Surf Snowdonia' is an inventive paradise for surfers and adventure-seekers. Having taken almost ten years to complete, Surf Snowdonia in North Wales has become the new hotbed for modern surfing experiences. The park is home to almost a near 1,000' man-made lake that produces the longest artificial waves in the world.

Because of its size, Surf Snowdonia can allow up to 36 surfers on the water at any given time. Participants are challenged by changing waves as it moves across the massive lagoon. When built, the ground was contoured in various ways along the course to provide a realistic series of waves.

This inland surf lake is not the first of its kind, but is the most expansive in the world. Surf Snowdonia also offers obstacle courses on the water, as well as "lakeside" cafes, restaurants and stores.
