Don’t be fooled into thinking that these Super Meat Boy NES cartridges are actually an 8-bit version of the hit indie game. No, these cartridges were created by the artist Paclin for the 8-bit-obsessed website 72Pins -- it should be noted that the Super Meat Boy team is not involved in this project whatsoever.
Each cartridge costs $12 to purchase and all profits go towards the artist and everyone else involved in the creation of the Super Meat Boy NES cartridge. Upcycling old video games into functional pieces of art is a great way to ensure that said games don’t find their way into a landfill.
