Sculptural Ice Cubes

Suntory Whiskey Created 3D Ice Cube Sculptures for Its Latest Ad Campaign

Japanese whisky manufacturer Suntory Whisky decided to kick things up a notch for its recent ad campaign by replacing the conventional ice cubes in a glass of whisky on the rocks with miniature ice sculptures.

Suntory Whisky stylishly kicked regular square ice cubes to the curb by using a high-tech 3D milling machine to expertly carve tiny, icy works of art. In the ad campaign video, you can watch the 3D milling machine carve at super-sonic speed a Japanese pagoda, a shark, the Statue of Liberty, a mermaid, a shoe and several other objects. Each of the miniature ice sculptures are then put into a Glencairn whisky glass topped with a shot of Suntory's famous whisky blend. The tiny ice sculpture looks like a work of intricate beauty floating in a glass of amber liquid.
