Vibrant Poolside Editorials

Derek Wood Photographed This Summery Poolside Editorial for C-Heads

LA-based photographer Derek Wood makes his C-Heads debut with a summery poolside editorial starring Miriam Adler.

The shoot offers a subtle nod to Beyonce, whose surprise record dominated airwaves this summer. In one shot, the words "I Woke Up Like This," a lyric from the massively popular track 'Flawless,' appear behind Adler's head, scrawled in what appears to be self-tanner. In several other shots, Adler touts a refreshing slice of watermelon, yet another subtle Beyonce reference, this time hailing from the song 'Drunk in Love.' Both songs would be very appropriate to blast during Adler's afternoon poolside hangout.

The creative team behind the editorial consisted of makeup artist Michal Cohen, hair stylist Nicole Walpert and stylist Taylor Sheridan.
