Bucktown Three by Studio Dwell Architects Has a White-Washed Look

Studio Dwell Architects present an almost all-white abode in the Chicago area. The coloring and design gives the house a clean-cut look in the middle of a massive city.

The goal with this house was to "create open, fluid interior spaces, both horizontally and vertically and then to wrap it all in white masonry," according to The Contemporist. Having this white finishing makes the house look very minimalist, but still fashionable. The design also allows light to flow throughout the abode, and white reflective surfaces on the inside of the house amplify the brightness even more. However, even though there are plenty of windows, the positioning of these transparent surfaces was done strategically to allow for added privacy considering the house by Studio Dwell Architects is located in a more high-traffic area.
