Fabulously Futuristic Boutiques

The Stuart Weitzman Boutique Aesthetic is Futuristic Minimalist

London-based architect Zaha Hadid is known for her fluid, sculptural aesthetic, and her design for the Stuart Weitzman Shoe boutique was no exception. Located in Milan, the boutique features a super-modern, futuristic look. The shoes are displayed on curvaceous, free-flowing pillars that act as shelves. There are also sinuous, stand-alone platforms throughout the store that continue the sculpted aesthetic. The displays are then illuminated with giant overhead lights. Walking into the boutique almost feels like touring a hovercraft.

Hadid plans on creating more ultra-modern spaces for Stuart Weitzman in New York, Rome and Hong Kong, though she is quick to explain that each location will have a distinctive look and feel. Hadid’s idiosyncratic architectural designs are not to be missed, least of all this forward-thinking modern shoe boutique.
