Sketch Design Studio Creates the Stone House in North India

Sketch Design Studio completes the Stone House, which is a rural home in north India by the Aravalli mountains in Rajasthan. The house is defined by its two-story structure with a rustic stone interior and ordered facade. It is constructed from stone blocks that are collected from local demolition sites for a sustainable approach to design. Additionally, the walls are made with mud and lime plaster at the exterior, complete with a smooth finish.

Founder of the studio, Shipra Singhania explains, "They set their sights on a farm located on the outskirts of the city, envisioning a small yet inviting home that would serve as their sanctuary and a gathering place for family and friends. We conceptualised Stone House as a modern home that combines the rustic charm of repurposed stone with eco-friendly finishes and a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces."
