Giuseppe Randazzo's Stone Field Series Take on Circular Formations

The Stone Field series is comprised of a variety of rocks that have been carefully formed into circular patterns. No two are alike. Each formation may be the same size, but each pattern is as different as a fingerprint. From ring-shapes to gradients and more, the Stone Field series is mesmerizing in its simplicity.

Created by Italian designer and artist Giuseppe Randazzo, the Stone Field series was inspired by the work of Richard Long, who is known for his land art and sculptures. Using a trial and error hierarchical algorythm to create the stones, Randazzo sorts them by size in order to create these dynamic canvasses. Confessing that his way is a 'lazy version,' compared to Long's work, the Stone Field series is nonetheless beautiful to behold.
